research & development

The basis for our innovative products is our research and development department with experienced, highly qualified and specialised staff. This enables us to develop our binders in a specially equipped product laboratory. Our chemical laboratory is equipped with all the devices and analytical methods commonly used in polyurethane chemistry.

For the comprehensive quantification of the technical performance of our new binder formulations as well as for customer-specific analyses, our laboratory also includes a moulding material laboratory. In addition to the detailed characterisation of new and reclaimed sands, we are able to produce common test specimen geometries manually and by machine and to test them according to the standard specifications. This is another basis for our product developments as well as individual customer support and competent advice.

For the consistent emission optimisation of our binder formulations, we can examine and analyse their emission profile in detail by means of GC/MS in our laboratories. This enables us to prioritise and specifically perfect this product property at an early stage of development.

Many years of experience in the field of polyurethanes and the associated networked expertise are the basis for the continuous further development of our own systems and for targeting new areas of application.

In this way, we work with maximum efficiency and are able to react individually to special customer requirements and current market situations.

Our application-oriented research and development is also supported by the European Union.

The aim is to substitute substances that are harmful to health and the environment in industrial production and for the end consumer.

We have been cooperating successfully for many years with the Foundry Institute of the TU Bergakademie Freiberg. Together we carry out very application-oriented research, whose results flow directly into product development.
